This is a very strange old water tower that I ran across out in the hills East of San Diego. It has been overgrown with a tree that has since died and left this odd looking structure.
I find the interaction between nature and abandoned architecture intriguing. There is a silo some 60 miles to the east of where I live that has been similarly taken over and everytime I see it I say I'm going to photograph it and I have yet to do it.

This is a great photo.. what a painting it would make.
It shapes like a tall mushroom, but much bigger, and it's not alive.
Great photo John.
