Over the weekend I passed not one but two good sized kidney stones!!
"I don't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies Miss Scarlet", but if it were as hard to give birth as it is to pass a kidney stone the human race would have died out long ago...

MOUNTAIN STORM III - STEP 1

Today I begin a 30" x 20" oil painting of a mountain storm. I have used a painting knife for most of the mountains and a thick impasto style. The stormy sky has been sprayed on with a Paasche VL airbrush. It's kind of nasty in the studio while I'm vaporizing oil paint with Japan drier, turpentine and linseed oil used as a thinning agent but it gives a nice effect.
